here i go again

we really are stable people. all this moving about is the result of circumstances which are beyond our control. the landlord went into foreclosure on the property we were living in and while we could’ve waited things out a bit i couldn’t peacefully stay there one second longer. i had to think about the upcoming school year and how i’ll be teaching kindergarten again. it has been 5 years since i taught my last kindergartener and because it is such a special year i wanted to be  settled somewhere. the move is local. we are living in a house which was the methodist pastor’s residence once upon a time in the early 1900’s. i wonder what he would think of this catholic homeschooling family living here? anyway, not so long ago it was being used as a law office, so we are reaping the benefits of a great library with tons of shelves. and a window seat.

i am so sorry i had to go and make a whole new blog. but we since we weren’t at the little house anymore it just didn’t make sense. so if you will bear with me, here i go again! i hope you like it here. i think i do.

  1. I know what you mean about guilt and blogging – it is a bit of a selfish pleasure. But being selfish is good sometimes, and purging your emotions/thoughts through words is a lot better for you than drinking, smoking or other vices! I’ve got a 2 year old and a 5 year old and I’m a work at home mom, so writing isn’t always easy, but it is necessary for my business, so I sneak in snippets whenever I can. Needless to say, nap-time is MY happy hour! 🙂

  2. Regan, thanks for inviting me/us to your new place! I’m sure you will make it as lovely and inviting as your previous blogs. Transitions can be hard and stressful, I know, but after reading your descriptions and seeing your photos, it seems like you are moving into a wonderful house that I’m sure very quickly will feel like home. I’ve been praying for God’s blessing upon you, as you finish up the packing and moving, and begin to settle in. Take care! {{Hugs}}

  3. phew! you do move a lot! tee hee. so is the title of this blog sorta like wishful thinking? or are you really and truly that organized? or is it like if you build it they will come? tee hee. i can’t wait to see the new digs!

  4. Not sure how I missed your blog move. I was thinking about you this morning and went to your old blog and saw the new link. Just added the new blog to my Google Reader.

    The shelves sound awesome.
